The start-up costs associated with opening a CorePlus studio vary from site to site, but the range is estimated to be between $550,000 and $700,000. This includes your own territory, help in finding a suitable studio location, all of your initial training, architectural design and studio fit-out, with the majority of equipment typically being leased. A number of factors impact your initial investment such as the existing site conditions, studio size, location, and whether it’s on the ground floor or first floor.
It typically takes 6–12 months from signing the franchise documents, to opening your studio doors.
There are a range of factors that impact the financial returns of your studio, including studio size, class capacity, local demographic profile, annual rental amount, and whether you are an owner-operator, instruct classes or not. During one of our first meetings, we take you through a worked example of our financial model and then give you an opportunity to plug in your own assumptions and figures that are specific to your proposed territory.
As you can imagine, running a studio will take up a lot of your time, especially in the first 6–12 months. We’re looking for Studio Partners who can commit 100% to their CorePlus community, and we’ll work with you to develop a transition plan to get you out of your old job and into your new life as a CorePlus Studio Partner.
While being a CorePlus Instructor is a big advantage, it's not a prerequisite to opening your own CorePlus studio. If you're thinking about opening your own studio and you’re interested in becoming an Instructor as well, we encourage you to reach out to the CorePlus Studio Partner in your community, to talk about our training and development processes.
In the CorePlus franchise, each studio is part of a clearly defined territory, which gives the Studio Partner exclusive rights to operate and grow within that geographic area. Territories are carefully mapped to ensure strong local demand and avoid overlap between studios, ensuring long-term success.
Absolutely, you can beomce a Studio Partner on your own or with a partner. Our Studio Partners come from all kinds of relationship structures: individuals, couples, friends, family members, or buisness partners. What matters most is a passion for our product and our community, as well as a shared alignment with our purpose, vision and values.
Yes! Many of our current Studio Partners have never owned a business before. That’s the benefit in joining the CorePlus community — you get the benefits of owning your own business, but you’ll never feel like you’ve got to figure it out on your own, as we’ll be there to support you every step of the way!
