How much does it cost to open a studio?

The start-up costs associated with opening a CorePlus studio vary from site to site, but the range is estimated to be between $550,000 and $700,000. This includes your own territory, help in finding a suitable studio location, all of your initial training, architectural design and studio fit-out, and the majority of equipment is typically leased. A number of factors impact your initial investment such as the existing site conditions, studio size, location, and whether it’s on the ground floor or first floor.

How long does it take to open a studio?

It typically takes 6–12 months from signing the franchise documents, to opening your studio doors.

How much does a studio make per year?

There are a range of factors that impact the financial returns of your studio, including studio size, class capacity, local demographic profile, annual rental amount, and whether you as an owner-operator instruct classes or not. During one of our first meetings, we take you through a worked example of our financial model and then give you an opportunity to plug in your own assumptions and figures that are specific to your proposed territory.

What kind of support can I expect as a Studio Partner?

A lot! From the moment you sign your Franchise Agreement, our HQ team will start the onboarding process to get you ready to run your own business. Our training and development process is ongoing; you’ll never be on your own as a CorePlus Studio Partner.

Am I able to keep my full-time job and own a CorePlus studio?

As you can imagine, running a studio will take up a lot of your time, especially in the first 6–12 months. We’re looking for Studio Partners who can commit 100% to their CorePlus community, and we’ll work with you to develop a transition plan to get you out of your old job and into your new life as CorePlus Studio Partner.

Do I need to be an Instructor to become a Studio Partner?

While being a CorePlus instructor is a big advantage, it's not a prerequisite to opening your own CorePlus studio. If you're thinking about opening your own studio and you’re interested in becoming an instructor as well, we encourage you to reach out to the CorePlus Studio Partner in your community, to talk about our training and development process.

I’ve never tried CorePlus. Can I still open a studio?

A passion for CorePlus is one of the most important things we look for in our Studio Partners so if you’ve never taken a CorePlus class before, make this your first step! I already have a CorePlus studio in my area, can I still open here?

One of the distinct benefits of becoming a CorePlus Studio Partner is our large and exclusive territories. For that reason, we give enough space in between our studios to ensure you’re collaborating with your neighbouring Studio Partner, not competing with them. We’ll engage our demographic mapping consultant who will analyse the selected market and help determine the nearest available territory to your chosen location.

I’ve never owned a business. Am I still eligible?

Yes! Many of our current Studio Partners have never owned a business before. That’s the benefit in joining the CorePlus community — you get the benefits of owning your own business, but you’ll never feel like you’ve got to figure it out on your own, as we’ll be there to support you every step of the way!
